The Fat Raddish Savannah Reviews
36 Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, Savannah, GA, USA
The Fat Radish Savannah is the younger sister to the NYC flagship. Unlike their more seasoned relative that serves up British fare, this young stunner has a more eclectic vibe. The building itself is right outside city market on MLK (home of my personal fav The Grey) and used to house ampersand (unfortunately met its demise much too soon). The building has been rehabilitated with so much love and intention it is hard to ignore. The restaurant maintains the charm of the original build with a 2-story addition which serves as the penthouse apartment hotel, the windrose. The fat radish is known for its cool vibes and eclectic design attributing to its urban oasis-like feel. The servers are kind and lighthearted as is the owner of the restaurant who is just the sweetest! The menu is vegetable heavy and the food is very colorful. If you have a large appetite you will find yourself ordering many of the items on the menu to fill up on. This restaurant is great if you know you’re going to stay out late after dinner or plan to walk through the beautiful squares of savannah or river street as you won’t be overstuffed and lethargic. Stop in for brunch on Saturday and Sunday and have some bubbles or effervescent cocktails like the peach pisco sour. Open daily at 5 for dinner or stop by during your break from eating all day between 3 and 5 for a cocktail or 2. Whether you are staying at the windrose hotel above the restaurant or you’re a local, this restaurant is a good choice for a satisfying meal without the bloating.
