Roost Reviews
1502 Niagara st, Buffalo, NY 14213
Roost is the brainchild of noteworthy Buffalo chef James Martin, the once famed owner of Martin Cooks, previously located in the horsefeathers market. Roost is one of the first new establishments on the up and coming Niagara street and it is here to stay! All I have to say is bolognese!!! The Bolognese here is probably one of my favorite things on the menu. I order it every time I visit – even Sunday, when they add an egg on top to make it more suitable for brunch. The space is rather large and very eclectic in design. There is also a large window that sits next to an active railroad that legitimately shakes the space when those high speed steel bulls zoom by! Exhilarating. The menu changes often here; one quarter will be Italian, another Mediterranean, then Indian – I guess it depends on Martin’s mood. No matter what the cuisine just know that it’ll knock your socks off. One thing I will note, the pizza is really good and it is fun to watch it go through their MASSIVE pizza over. The staff here are so friendly and they know how to have a good time. Great selection of wines and creative cocktails. Call In to reserve a table as it is difficult to get a table or even plan your corporate event up to 250 people. Whatever it is, you won’t be disappointed.
